JCPRD is seeking energetic individuals looking for an opportunity to work in a fast-paced and fun environment! Come join our Gold Medal Team as a AEA Arthritis (AFEP) Fitness Insructor to help us grow our organization to make it among the best in the nation. You will…

  • Teach exercises in chair-based classes to persons over the age of 50 at various locations.
  • Salary: $16.00 - $20.00/hr. Depending on experience.
  • Locations: (Matt Ross Community Center - OP Kansas, Irene B French Community Center - Merriam, KS, Sunset Building - Olathe, KS, Roeland Park Community Center - Roeland Park, KS, New Century Fieldhouse - New Century, KS , and Spring Hill Community Center - Spring Hill, KS)
  • Part-Time position; Days and hours vary depending on program location.
  • Duties and responsibilities, as required by business necessity may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.  Scheduling and shift assignments and work location may be changed at any time, as required by business necessity.

Job Requirements

  • Must hold a group fitness certification. 
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Previous experience teaching fitness classes to seniors.
  • Candidate must have current CPR certification.
  • Instructor will keep class records, organize and implement classes.
  • Candidates must be reliable.

JCPRD requires reference/background screening for all positions.  Specified criteria may vary by Department.
