Job Description

Adventure awaits you at JCPRD in our Before/After School Care programs!  As a Morning Lead Teacher...

  • You will challenge our next generation with fun and stimulating games, sports, and arts in a Before School Care setting.
  • Plan and facilitate opportunities to explore environmental awareness, fitness, health, STEM, creativity, and innovation.
  • Programs also include special projects, field trips, parties, and other activities based upon the interests of the children enrolled.
  • Provide children with what they need: a safe, enriching, fun place to be!  Direct age-appropriate activities for K-6 graders, will train.
  • Salary:  $16.00 per hour.

Locations are at various elementary schools in the De Soto School District

De Soto Schools: Monday - Friday, 7:00-9:00 a.m.

Duties and responsibilities, as required by business necessity may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.  Scheduling and shift assignments and work location may be changed at any time, as required by business necessity

Job Requirements

  • 1 years’ experience with school age children in organized setting. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices. 
  • Self-motivation and ability to prioritize personal responsibilities and accomplish job tasks with autonomy from close supervision. 
  • Leadership and supervisory skills.  

JCPRD requires reference/background screening for all positions.  Specified criteria may vary by Department
