Job Description

Are you a passionate maker who loves teaching others? Our new makerspace is growing and we are looking for maker educators to teach multiple classes at the Johnson County Arts & Heritage Center in 2025. These programs include 3d printing, laser cutting, mechanics, STEM education and electronics for adults and youth on weeknights, Saturdays and daytime homeschool programs.

 

Duties and responsibilities, as required by business necessity may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.  Scheduling and shift assignments and work location may be changed at any time, as required by business necessity.

Job Requirements

Experience in at least one of the following areas is required: 3D printing, laser cutting, electronics and basic hand tools. Prior experience teaching a variety of makerspace-type programming/tool training is a plus.

 

JCPRD requires reference/background screening for all positions.  Specified criteria may vary by Department.
