Are you a passionate maker who loves teaching others? Our new makerspace is growing and we are looking for maker educators to teach multiple classes at the Johnson County Arts & Heritage Center in 2025. These programs include Homeschool STEM programs on Tuesdays during the day throughout 2025 AND summer camps for ages 8-11 & 12-17. Our camp themes include 3D Printing, Wearable Art (including sewn circuits, vinyl and laser cutting) and large scale props and puppets for a performance of Beetlejuice Jr. Job duties include writing and implementing lesson plans and prepping supplies for fun and engaging fine arts camps, managing program supplies, assisting in organizing paperwork and parent communication as needed and cleaning.
Duties and responsibilities, as required by business necessity may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing. Scheduling and shift assignments and work location may be changed at any time, as required by business necessity.
Experience in at least one of the following areas is required: 3D printing, laser cutting, electronics and basic hand tools. Prior experience teaching a variety of makerspace-type programming/tool training is a plus.
