Job Description

  • Responsible for interacting with all guests for events and rentals.
  • Verify completion of setup, tear down, and cleaning of rental rooms for events, courses and parties.
  • Assist all groups with various unforeseen needs that come up throughout the event.
  • Oversee rental guests to confirm rental policies and procedures are upheld.
  • Completes light maintenance duties to include: cleaning restrooms, taking out the trash, sweeping, mopping, sanitizing tables and chairs, and laundry.
  • May open and/or close facility depending on scheduled shift.
  • May complete various maintenance and upkeeping tasks.
  • Hours:  Varies weekly, typically between 10-20 hours per week, usually evenings/weekends depending on the building usage.  Position is year-round.
  • Location: Johnson County Arts & Heritage Center, 8788 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS  66212
  • Salary:  $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Duties and responsibilities, as required by business necessity may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.  Scheduling and shift assignments and work location may be changed at any time, as required by business necessity.

Job Requirements

  • Available evenings and/or weekends and be flexible.
  • Attentive to detail, self-motivated, able to work with the public.
  • Must be able to do some heavy lifting (50+ lbs.)
  • Minimum age 18.
