Indoor/Outdoor Preschool/Pre-K Assistant Teacher

• Preschool/Pre-K Assistant Teachers are responsible for direct interaction with the children in games, activities and free play, along with ensuring the general health, welfare and well-being of each child. Be active participants with the children enrolled, and effective communicators with parents, children, supervisors and co-workers.
• As well as accepting supervision from the Program Director, must exhibit initiative by demonstrating leadership without being prompted by other staff.
•  Additional duties are assigned by the Program Director.
• Hours: 15- 30 hours per week and shifts are flexible between 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. and Just for Fun Preschool Camps 8:30am-12:30pm
• Salary:  $14.00 per hour.

Locations:  Roeland Park Community Center, New Century Fieldhouse, Antioch Park, Meadowbrook Park, Craig Crossing Shelter in Lenexa, the Overland Park Arboretum, Brookwood Elementary, Rising Star Elementary, and Trailwood Elementary.

Duties and responsibilities, as required by business necessity may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.  Scheduling and shift assignments and work location may be changed at any time, as required by business necessity.

• Minimum age of 16, some experience with children preferred.
• Must meet criteria stated by Kansas Department of Health and Environment.

JCPRD requires reference/background screening for all positions.  Specified criteria may vary by Department.
