The Johnson County Park and Recreation District (JCPRD) is hiring a Seasonal/Part-Time Trail Builder to assist in building and maintaining the dirt singletrack within the district. JCPRD is committed to maintaining and building quality singletrack, and progressive trails.
Work Duties also include (but not limited to): Assisting Crew Leads in design of new trail/re-routes/expansions.
Hand building trail when machines are not feasible. Maintaining current singletrack by de-berming, de-rocking, small root removal, string trimming, corridor clearing, etc. Moving of tools/equipment between projects for staging. Assisting Urban Trail Co. with volunteer support and assistance. Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Experience:
JCPRD requires reference/background screening for all positions. Specified criteria may vary by Department.
