Job Description

  • The Johnson County Park and Recreation District (JCPRD) is hiring for a seasonal gate opener for Central Region (Mill Creek Streamway and Shawnee Mission Park)
  • The gate opener will be responsible for opening up to fourteen gates within Shawnee Mission Park and across Mill Creek Streamway Park System
  • Must be available for a minimum of 3 hours a day. Monday - Friday. More hours could be available if desired.
  • This position could also work into a 30hr Seasonal Park Worker after discussion with supervisor.
  • Total maximum hours 999.
  • Normal Work Hours: Starting time: 430am M-F 
  • Salary: $15.00/hr.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum age 18
  • Must have valid driver's license, insurance and good driving record verified through a background check.

JCPRD requires reference/background screening for all positions.  Specified criteria may vary by Department.
