• Work under the supervision of the Assistant Technical Director to construct scenic elements and maintain the scene shop.
• Work independently and with other scenic crew fabricating and installing scenic units.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times.
• Operation of power tools and hand tools including circular, miter, track, panel, reciprocating, and jig saws, drills, impact drivers, pry bars, pliers, measuring devices, etc.
• Make repairs and adjustments to set units as needed.
• Keep scene shop and stage areas clean and clear of construction debris.
• Assist scenic painters as needed.

• Familiarity with theatrical scenic construction terms and techniques.
• Proficient with hand and power tool operations.
• Able to read, write, and mark measurements within 1/16th inch.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs and stand for extended periods of time.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Read construction drafting.
• Familiarity with Mig welding.
• Experience with scissor lifts or personnel lifts.
