Compensation:

  • Base Compensation: $26.19 - $35.43 per hour DOE
  • Compensation Schedule: Hourly
  • Additional Perks: Ability to keep 80% of lesson fees

Job Overview:

Join the dynamic team at Tomahawk Hills and Heritage Park Golf Course as an Assistant Manager of Golf Operations. We are on the lookout for a proactive, service-oriented Assistant Golf Professional to help us deliver exceptional golfing experiences at our top-tier facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Customer Engagement: Excelling in customer service by engaging with patrons and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Leadership: Develop leadership skills and supervise marshals and part-time staff.
  • Staff Management: Responsible for hiring, training, and supervising staff. Handle opening and closing operations smoothly.
  • Financial Oversight: Complete daily financial reporting and support financial management practices.
  • Operational Duties: Manage golf course policies and resolve guest concerns in absence of the manager.
  • Safety and Reporting: Ensure thorough reporting of incidents or accidents.
  • Merchandising: Lead efforts in buying and selling merchandise.
  • Tournament Management: Organize and run tournaments efficiently from start to finish.
  • Facility Management: Oversee building issues and ensure the clubhouse maintains cleanliness and organization.
  • Golf Instruction: Develop a teaching plan and motivate players to improve and to grow the game of golf.

About Our Courses:

Heritage Park Golf Course offers a scenic and challenging 18-hole layout with a mix of tree-lined and links-type holes. Known for its well-maintained greens and picturesque views, it's an ideal setting for any golf enthusiast.  We have a full complement of practice facilities including a putting clock, practice pitching green with bunkers, a driving range, and a "WEE LINKS" short course.

Tomahawk Hills Golf Course is celebrated for its historical significance and challenging terrain. The 18-hole course boasts zoysia fairways and bentgrass greens, offering an engaging experience for modern golfers.  The complex has extensive practice areas for putting, chipping, pitching, and working on your full swing at the driving range.

Job Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role
  • Certification: Is a PGA or LPGA Member or has taken the steps to become (A) a PGA Member through the University Program or PGA PGM 3.1 Associate Program; or (B) a Certified LPGA Professional through the LPGA Teaching Educations Program (TEP)
  • Physical Capability: Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Knowledge: Adept in golf course operations, tournament procedures, the rules of golf, and golf instruction
  • JCPRD requires reference/background screening for all positions.  Specified criteria may vary by Department.
