Job Description

  • Assist with the design, coordination, implementation, and instruction of a wide variety of pre-school and youth gymnastics classes and programs.
  • Assist other staff members in the creation, planning, and execution of a variety of programs/classes/events for the Mill Creek Activity Center with a special focus on cost saving measures to contribute to the financial solvency of the CCW Department.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service, internally and externally, while handling concerns or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating part-time instructional staff to provide the highest level of programming, classes, and/or events.
  • Assist with the coordination and implementation of gymnastics birthday parties for the Mill Creek Activity Center, including managing bookings, overseeing party staff, and supervising party activities.

Job Requirements

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma
  • Four years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience in gymnastics management with an emphasis on programming, instruction/coaching and curriculum administration.
  • Understanding of the development and management of a budget; project organization and staff management.
  • Strong emphasis on public relations.
  • Strong communication – both spoken and written
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multi-task with attention to detail.
  • Leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Required to pass criminal history and driving background check.

 Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Recreation or related field.
  • Personal experience in gymnastics training/competition, coaching certification from recognized sanctioning body, documented coaching continuing education.

Education/Experience Substitutions:

Experience may be substituted for degree.

 

Physical, Environmental, and Special Working Conditions:

  • Weekend and evening work assignments required.
  • Lifting 20-50 lbs.
  • Other (specify): Excessive stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, pushing, and pulling.
