JCPRD is currently seeking:  

An Architectural Project Manager who is interested in positively impacting their community as a key member in a collaborative planning and development team. Projects are managed through all phases of planning, budgeting, design, construction, and the life of the facility, supporting JCPRD in continuing to meet our community’s Park, Recreation, Safety, Outdoor Education, and Culture needs in the best possible way. Projects are varied in scales, schedules and types.

Job Description

  • Communicate successfully with the public, members of all JCPRD divisions and departments, authorities having jurisdiction, consultants and contractors.
  • Manage planning, design and construction processes, ensuring all applicable codes and the intended project goals are met.
  • Create and manage budget, schedule and scope of work for the execution of multiple projects, facility renovations, and/or equipment replacement.
  • Schedule and conduct project meetings with stakeholders, consultants and contractors.
  • Manage multiple projects and prioritize workloads.
  • Manage investigative studies, analyze resulting data and implement solutions.
  • Assess existing facilities and building system components to determine need of repair and/or replacement.
  • Collaborate with and direct multi-disciplinary work crews, professional engineers and architects.
  • Create, implement and document new processes and/or standards to improve workflow efficiencies to reduce staff time and project costs.

Job Requirements

Educational/Professional Requirements: Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related field. Experience may be substituted for education.

 

Professional Experience: Four (4) years of progressively more responsible design and construction project management experience, including project financial analysis and financial management.

 

Preferred: 6 years of progressively more responsible facilities management, design, or construction management experience. Education may be substituted for experience.

 

Compensation is commensurate with level of experience.
