Essential Duties:

- Responsibilities include mowing, trimming, cleaning facilities, landscape planting and maintenance, sanitation collection and disposal, turf and flower care, special projects, and grounds maintenance etc.
- Seasonal Park Workers may operate equipment and trucks as trained, assigned, and licensed.
- Some weekend and Holiday schedules will be assigned.

- Work under the supervision of the Assistant Technical Director to construct scenic elements and maintain the scene shop.
- Work independently and with other scenic crew fabricating and installing scenic units.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Operation of power tools and hand tools including; circular, miter, track, panel, reciprocating, and jig saws, drills, impact drivers, pry bars, pliers, measuring devices, etc.
- Make repairs and adjustments to set units as needed.
- Keep scene shop and stage areas clean and clear of construction debris.
- Greeting participants and providing a high level of customer service.
- Responsible for the preparation of lessons plans, instructing, and evaluating class participants.
- Lead tennis lessons for varying ages with a maximum number of 12 participants
- Arrive on time, prepare needed equipment and communicate weather related cancellations.

The Urban Forestry Part-Time Worker will provide assistance to the Urban Forestry Supervisor with tree and shrub care, the care and use of related equipment, tree related projects, and help maintain JCPRD's nursery operations.

Join our team at Meadowbrook Park as a part-time park maintenance worker. Meadowbrook Park is a premier park located in Prairie Village. This 80-acre park is comprised of 5 shelters, 3 fishing ponds, 3 playgrounds and over 3 miles of paved trails. This location has an annual visitation of 1 million people. JCPRD is seeking an assistant sewing instructor who’s ready to share their passion of sewing with participants! This position will provide support for our lead instructor on multiple basic level sewing projects for groups who are interested about learning to sew. Assistant instructor will be responsible for helping lead instructor with administering basic sewing lessons, assist students with projects, troubleshooting sewing machines and/or equipment. Offers of employment will be conditional upon passing all appropriate screenings (driver’s license, physical, and criminal background check).
Essential Duties:
- Skill Development: Teach and refine cheerleading techniques, including tumbling, jumps, and choreography, to ensure team members perform safely and confidently.
- Safety and Injury Prevention: Ensure proper warm-ups, use of safety equipment, and adherence to guidelines to minimize the risk of injuries during practice and performances.
